I spent part of this week in Phoenix, where I trained officers from the Department of Interior on working with vulnerable victims. Among other things, I got to show them the fantastic resources for the elderly at https://www.justice.gov/elderjustice. There is a link for accessing local services for elders, pamphlets on scams that target the elderly, and red flags that indicate someone might be suffering from abuse or neglect. It’s a great tool for all of us who care about elders.
